A motion was made by Gilbert and seconded by Randy to approve the treasurer’s report. Ray stated that he has patches available. Please contact him at raypyeatt@sbcglobal.net

Ray reminded everyone that your 2015 dues are now due. The cost is $30, with $25 going to International, $1 going to the MWRC, and the chapter keeping the remaining $4.

A special “thank you” was given to Ken Murphree for hosing the “pre” cookout and sign making party at his house on Friday, September 26th. For some, the Dove was yummy, for others, maybe not, but the burgers were delicious.

Ron and Dave gave a quick briefing on the past 2014 Fall MWRC that was held in OKC. It was mentioned that International is in the process of working with the “International Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Investigators Association” who consider Blue Knights as a 1% club, because we wear a three rocker patch. It was also mentioned that International would like us to police up the patches that we wear on our vests. The question that you have to ask yourself is, “Would you wear that patch to work?”.

Ron discussed with the chapter about possibly hosting an upcoming MWRC. Everyone seemed to feel that it was a great idea, but it would only be a success if we all work together and have as much participation as possible.

Ron gave a report on our past “Kiddieland” fund raiser for Stephen County Youth Shelter. Ray reported that $951.97 was donated that evening. A motion was made by Gilbert and seconded by Dan that the chapter donate $248.03 to the amount, making our total donation to the youth shelter to $1200. This is up $100 from last year. A date in the near future will be set to have local media and newspapers cover the donation check when given to the shelter.

Ron opened the floor for chapter officer nominations for the upcoming 2015-2016 positions. The following nominations and appointments where made:

President: Ron Corcorron
Vice-President: David Woods
Secretary: Chisholm Hale
Treasurer: Ray Pyeatt
Board of Directors: President – Dan Fletcher, members – Gilbert Gonzales, Kenny Sanner, and Randy Whipple
Appointed Positions:
Webmaster – Dave McDermott
Safety Officer – Bryan Baker

Since everyone was running unopposed and accepted their nomination, a motion was made by Dave and seconded by Joe to accept the nominations as the new chapter officers starting in January 2015. Motion was approved. No elections are required.

Dan stated that he will be planning a late October, early November ride to the eastern part of our state or Arkansas to see the fall foliage. More info will be posted as it is received.

LaOna asked the chapter to consider riding in the Walters Christmas Parade in Walters, OK. More info will be posted as it is received.

A motion was made by Gilbert and seconded by Bryan to approve the treasurer’s report.  Ray stated that he has patches available.  Please contact him at raypyeatt@sbcglobal.net

Ray again reminded everyone that your 2015 dues are now due.  The cost is $30, with $25 going to International, $1 going to the MWRC, and the chapter keeping the remaining $4.

David gave a ride report on the 11 Oct 14, McKenzie’s Miracle Poker Run in Rush Springs, OK.  He said it was unorganized and after the first stop, they broke off and went and had lunch together.

Mark your calendars now to attend the 2014 Christmas party on Friday, 5 Dec 14, at 6:30 PM.  The location is the Hibachi Buffet and Grill on Cache Road, in Lawton.  It is across the street for the Creekside and just west of the Cache Road Liqueur.  We had a meeting there a few months ago.  We will be inducting the new 2015-16 chapter officers as well as conducting a dirty Santa gift exchange.   Please keep your gift under $25.

Gilbert and LaOna invited everyone to participate in the Walters Christmas Parade on 6 Dec 14, at 6:00pm.  Meet up location will be at the Walters High School parking lot, located at Broadway and Nevada, at 5:30pm.  Please plan on attending.

Bryan gave a very informative safety briefing on watching for deer and how to avoid them, as well as showing everyone a device that he has purchased called “The Hornet”.  A electrical deer avoidance system that mounts to your bike (one place you can purchase them is at Amazon – http://amzn.com/B00514C31Y ).  Bryan also passed out some documentation on the hand signals used during group riding.

Ron welcome a potential new member, Jeff Jefferson, from Duncan.
